Desarrollado por Forever Entertainment y Storm Trident, Front Mission 2: Remake nos transporta a una historia que tiene lugar más de una década después del segundo conflicto de Huffman. La trama se centra en la República Popular empobrecida de Alordesh, que ha experimentado un grave declive económico desde el final de la guerra. En junio de 2102, los soldados del Ejército de Alordesh se rebelan y declaran su independencia de la O.C.U. (Unión Cooperativa de Oceanía).
Este remake ha sido reconstruido desde cero, ofreciendo gráficos renovados y mejoras significativas en el gameplay. La velocidad de carga ha sido optimizada, se ha añadido una nueva cámara libre para acercarse a la acción, y se han incorporado más opciones de personalización en color y camuflaje. Además, la banda sonora ha sido completamente renovada.
Una de las novedades más destacadas es la inclusión de varios idiomas, incluido el español para la interfaz y subtítulos, lo que facilitará la inmersión de los jugadores en esta emocionante aventura de mechas.
