Blizzard Entertainment y NetEase han anunciado una renovación de su acuerdo para traer de vuelta a China varios títulos populares entre los jugadores, a partir del verano de 2024. Además, Microsoft Gaming y NetEase han ampliado su colaboración para explorar la posibilidad de llevar nuevos títulos de NetEase a las consolas Xbox y otras plataformas.
Bajo este acuerdo renovado, juegos emblemáticos como World of Warcraft, Hearthstone y otros títulos de los universos Warcraft, Overwatch, Diablo y StarCraft regresarán al mercado chino. Esta asociación entre Blizzard y NetEase, que cuenta con más de 15 años de colaboración, tiene como objetivo relanzar estos juegos con nuevos detalles y mejoras, los cuales serán compartidos próximamente.
Johanna Faries, Presidenta de Blizzard Entertainment, expresó su emoción por volver a asociarse con NetEase para ofrecer experiencias legendarias a los jugadores chinos. Agradeció la pasión que la comunidad china ha demostrado por los juegos de Blizzard a lo largo de los años y se comprometió a traer de vuelta estos universos con excelencia y dedicación.
Por su parte, William Ding, CEO de NetEase, destacó el compromiso de la compañía de proporcionar experiencias de entretenimiento más emocionantes y creativas. Se mostró emocionado por las sinergias positivas que se están generando para animar y potenciar colaboraciones que lleven la alegría de los juegos a una amplia comunidad.
Phil Spencer, CEO de Microsoft Gaming, también comentó sobre la renovación del compromiso con los jugadores. Destacó el regreso de los legendarios juegos de Blizzard a los jugadores en China y expresó el compromiso de Microsoft de llevar más juegos a más jugadores en todo el mundo, mientras exploran formas de llevar nuevos títulos de NetEase a la plataforma Xbox.
